Twelve Tweets

Twelve tweets that sum up what it means to live as a Christ-follower.

Hundreds of years ago a group of Christian leaders got together to settle on a way of understanding what we believe using a collection of pithy sayings. The result was the Apostles Creed which Christians have been using ever since to remind them of the great truths of the gospel.

At first sight some of these statements appear very basic, however when you sit down to think about them they all open up the enormous depths of the faith and have day-to-day relevance that impacts our lifestyle. So our Sunday morning teaching series for Spring 2017 is based on the phrases of the Apostles Creed and the scriptural passages they represent.

These phrases set Christianity apart from every other faith stream and define our DNA as followers of Jesus.

Small groups:

Small groups usually meet on the first, third and fifth Tuesday of each month (although some meet on other days of the week). During this teaching series we’ll be using “A closer look at the Creeds” by Justin Marr. He has written small group discussion guides which closely mirror the Sunday morning teaching. However, they don’t match exactly so there will be some weeks where the subjects differ slightly.

If you lead a small group we will send you the whole of the book, complete with leaders’ guides and background material. This will save you time in your preparation. For the rest of the church, the areas to be discussed will be extracted published in the church news sheet the weekend before the small groups meet.
