The Road Not Chosen is the name we use to describe the time when our daughter Esther died. We believe that, even in this experience, we can become better people, not bitter people when we have Christ at our side.
The Road Not Chosen is the journey many of us travel when we lose someone we love. It can be long, unpredictable, often scary, and leads us into territory we would rather enter. But once it begins, we have little choice but to travel it.
The Road Not Chosen is a message of help and hope for people who grieve and those who will be bereaved in the future. We only have to stay alive long enough to lose someone we love.
The Road Not Chosen is a book. In the book we walk you through our own journey of grieving, hope of recovery. We don’t intend it to be an easy read (although we hope you will laugh out loud at times) and we want you to be left with a deep sense of the hope that knowing God personally brings.
The Road Not Chosen is a sequence of interactive events where Rosi and Ian come to talk about gains and losses. We begin to unpack the jumble of emotions that are associated with grieving and give some steers that will help. We hope these events will help people who are going through loss, as well as open the eyes of the rest of us. Many of us could do with a few steers to have up our sleeves when we encounter people who have just been bereaved.
