Our first outing with the book came when we were invited to a creative writing group. Never having been to this one before, I was a little apprehensive that they might be expecting more than we could offer. But after some people sharing poems and other short works of their own, the floor was handed to us. We just told our story and read a couple of short passages. At the end of the session it was humbling to hear the reactions of the other participants, some of whom were very moved by our story.
